Pet Protectors Video: Puppy Vaccination

PDSA vet, Elaine, is in a consulting room talking about the importance of vaccinating pets. She says that white blood cells fight infections and are part of the immune system. Vaccines help the immune system create a kind of memory, so that if a pet comes in to contact with a virus or bacteria that causes disease, the white blood cells will remember how to deal with them. This protects the pet and stops them from getting those diseases. Booster vaccinations are needed because the immune system’s memory gets less over time. Elaine says vaccines are available to protect dogs, cats and rabbits.
